Morphic Stool
Inspired by the hourglass shape, Morphic stool is free-formed into this configuration to create a curvilinear design. The bottom of the stool is contoured and cut into slices to form the parts of the body, while leaving a 1/4” space between each cut as a design element. Plain steel rods and 1” round dowels are used as the joinery parts of the bottom. The top consist of 7 layers of Baltic Birch plywood glued together and cut using the cnc machine to form the curves of the seat shape.
